Every one of them wasa chalky pale, the palest of all the students livng in the this sunless town. Paler than me, the albino. They all had very dark eyes despite the range in hair tones. They also dark shadows under those eyes - purplish, bruiselike shadows. As if they were all suffering from a sleeples night, or almost recovered from a broken nose. Though their noses, all their features, were perfectly straight.
But all of this was not why I couldn't look away.
I srared because their faces, so diffrent, so similar, were all devastatingly, inhumanly beautiful.
